Eric Windisch has been building systems automation since 2002.
In 2001, Eric began his professional journey by supporting CPanel, one of the earliest hosting automation solutions and worked intimately with CPanel founding developers at Burst.net. In 2002, he designed and created metrics-based billing automation for Site5. In 2003, he took off on his own to build a “Platform as a Service” which continued until he pivoted in 2006 toward building virtual machine automation. These technologies evolved into and earned the moniker, “Cloud Computing”.
Since, Eric has worked on building clouds for enterprises and productizing cloud computing. Presently, he works for Docker, Inc of San Francisco, working from his home in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He is an active contributor to OpenStack.
